A mother, a photographer, an immigrant.

This project about identity is an exploration in understanding my own cultural roots and personal history and how these have shaped who I am and the photographs I make. The diptychs pairs represent elements of my homeland of Malaysia and my home in Canada.

My understanding of self is furthered through a project with my mother, presented as a video titled, “Conversation with Mom”.
